Grace, a lonely teenager, tries to fulfil her narcissistic director-mother's dream of becoming a successful actress. The new role she is cast in unleashes a supernatural phenomenon, causing mother and daughter to feel one another's emotions and physical sensations. When Grace grows close with fellow cast member Chantelle, a dangerous power struggle erupts, as Grace fights to break free of her mother's control.
